NJPW Dominion stands to be one of the best wrestling shows of the year, and possibly the best wrestling show ever. The main event between Okada/Omega was incredible.

I don’t normally do this, but if you haven’t watched this show, you should stop and go watch it. Come back afterwards. You won’t regret it. Go sign up for NJPW World.

Suzuki-gun (El Desperado & Kanemaru) (c) vs. Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) w/ Rocky Romero (CHAOS) – IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship

This match started fast and furious with RPG 3K doing stereo tope con giro’s and taking it Suzuki-gun. However, the speciality of Suzuki-gun is sneak attacks, and they eventually got the advantage and got the heat on SHO and YOH by beating them around ringside. YOH was eventually tagged in for the hot tag and he went wild. RPG3K went for a 3K but Kanemaru cut him off and accidently spit his whisky into Despy’s face. RPG 3K almost got the 3K on Kanemaru, but Despy saved Kanemaru. Despy went for a low blow, but it was avoided. Unfortunately, the ref got bumped, and Kanemaru was able to use his whisky bottle and nail YOH. Despy rolled him up and got the pinfall.

Result: Suzuki-gun

Rating: 2.75 stars out of 5

Solid match to start the show. I was expecting a title change here, but it seems that NJPW isn’t going to hotshot the junior tag titles as much this year. I think this is actually good for the division.

Juice Robinson & David Finlay vs. CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI & Jay White)

Jay White attacked Juice right of the bat, leaving YOSHI-HASHI confused. It appears that Jay White didn’t inform him of this plan. Finlay and White battle in the early portions of the match that sees White hit Finlay with a snap back suplex, driving his head into the mat. White and YOSHI-HASHI got the heat on David Finlay here in this portion of the match.

David Finlay got the tag at one point, but the referee didn’t see it. David Finlay managed a dropkick on YOSHI-HASHI and was able to get the tag to Juice who ran wild and hit a cannon ball on both members of CHAOS. All men hit a series of finishers, ending with Juice Robinson hitting a big left hand followed by the Pulp Friction on Jay White! Juice gets the pin!

Result: Juice Robinson & David Finlay

Rating: 2.5 stars out of 5

Juice Robinson grabbed the US title after the match and let the world know that he is going to challenge for it. I expect we’ll see that match at the G1 Special in San Francisco. Even if Juice doesn’t win that title, him and David Finlay have 4 wins in a row now, which is an argument for a tag team title shot.
