The X-Division is Showcased in a Tag Team Title Match
DJ Z and Andrew Everett matched up against Drago and Aerostar to start the show. Newly crowed Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions, Team Z and E defended their titles. These aren’t two of the greatest tag teams in terms of tandem offense but it looked to be exciting given the four in the ring. This match started off with traditional chain wrestling when is different than what fans are used to seeing from these team. DJ Z and Drago showed this unique start to this match.
Drago comes into the ring using his unorthodox athelticism but Andrew Everett tries to outdo him. These two completely change the pace of this match. Drago and Aerostar isolate Everett as some of their tag team abilities were shown. They forced either Everett or DJ Z to fight their way out of the clutches of the opposite team.
Drago and Aerostar maintained control through the early portion of this match. They continued to play sensational defensive while being able to deliver offensively. It was a constant uphill battle for the Tag Team Champions. Every sign pointed to new Tag Team Champions but somehow, Z and E continued to be resilient. Z and E got to their speed and retain the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships.
