Jinder Mahal vs. Roman Reigns
The build up to this match doesn’t really give me a lot to work with. Here’s what I’ll say about this match; it can’t go too long, because if it does the crowd will turn on it fast. It absolutely, 100 percent, cannot be the main event.
You would think that would go without saying, but at Backlash WWE opted to have Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns in a non-title match headline the show rather than the WWE Championship match of AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamure. Finally, this match can’t follow the same format of that Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns match from last month. If this match is 8 or more minutes of Jinder putting Roman in chin locks to build to Reigns’ come back I might kill myself.
The simple answer to this is just to have a short, kick ass match. Still have Jinder try to get his heat, have Sunil Singh interfere and all that, but keep this going fast with some back and forth offense, and Roman goes over. I feel like this sort of match puts Roman more in his element, and will hopefully not make this show start to drag as I fear it might.
