1. Samoa Joe

One of the leading candidates to capture the men’s Money in the Bank briefcase has to be Samoa Joe.  The Samoan Submission Machine has made a huge impact in the WWE since his debut on the main roster over a year ago with that impact carrying over to the SmackDown brand after the superstar shakeup.

Joe is trending in the right direction and could even be called Mr. Money in the Bank soon, but that doesn’t rule out another possible feud.  Whether he wins the Money in the Bank ladder match or not, Joe would be an ideal superstar to feud with Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship sometime in the future.

The two have history together dating back to their time in TNA, but seeing a feud between the two in the WWE could be something special.  In over a year on the main roster, Joe still hasn’t captured championship gold.  This would present a great opportunity for Joe to feud with someone who brings out the best in his competition while also potentially capturing the U.S. Championship in the process.

The Samoan Submission Machine’s character has been based around going after the top dogs in the WWE, so going after Hardy and the U.S. Championship just makes sense.  Not to mention, Joe’s elite heel work would likely bring out the best in Hardy’s babyface role that he has been so adept with over the years.

The WWE Championship could be in his future, but setting Joe in the path of Hardy and the U.S. Championship could be the perfect move.
