The Undisputed Era (c) (Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly with Adam Cole) vs. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan For The NXT Tag Team Championships

Result: The Undisputed Era Retain

Ratings: 4.75 out of 5.0 stars

Roderick Strong and Oney Lorcan started the match off with some excellent grappling, but neither was able to gain the upper hand so Lorcan tagged in Burch. Strong quickly tagged in Kyle O’Reilly in response.

This match was absolutely extraordinary. There were so many crazy moves, and this was basically their NXT TV matches turned up to a thousand. Burch, Lorcan, Strong, and O’Reilly were absolutely on fire with their hard strikes, and I fell for ust about every pinfall. The best of them came when Lorcan and Burch hit their tag team finisher, and Adam Cole pulled O’Reilly out of the ring. This got Cole ejected, but it saved the Undisputed Era’s Tag Team Championships.

There were also two excellent submission spots from O’Reilly. The first was an armbar on Burch. O’Reilly had previously tried to lock that move in on Burch, who made it to the ropes the first time before O’Reilly could even lock the move in. The second time, Burch was actually in the submission hold, as O’Reilly broke his grip. It looked like Burch might tap out, but he rolled his way onto the ropes.

Now there was a third submission spot that surpassed all of them. Burch and Lorcan put Strong and O’Reilly in dual submissions, with Strong in a half-crab from Lorcan. O’Reilly desperately hit Lorcan with a few kicks to the head to break up the submission, saving the matchup.

In the end, the chemistry that O’Reilly and Strong have together proved to be too much. They won with their tag team finisher, pinning Lorcan.

This is one of the best tag matches I’ve seen this year, and the ovation Lorcan and Burch received in the ring was heart-warming. They are over.

The crowd was absolutely HOT for this match throughout, and it’s no wonder why. It was worked at a breathless pace, and even the most critical of viewers would be unable to poke any holes in this bout. Bravo, gentlemen, bravo.

Also, O’Reilly was the MVP here. He’s the most underrated wrestler in WWE, in my humble opinion.
