MISCHA EAST VS JAIME HAYTER

HARMONY: Hi again Mischa East! After her fifteen-second match with Jetta at SHEVolution, you have to give her props for being willing to step into the ring with yet another one of Pro Wrestling EVE’s monster lady heels.

But you also have to be a little worried about her apparent naivety, as she’s willing to shake Jaime Hayter’s hand after Hayter spends thirty seconds on the mic telling the crowd just how badly East is going to be demolished in their match to come. So of course, it’s a squash. Poor East gets slammed into the canvas, kicked, choked, and pinned with incredible speed. In the end, Hayter calls her a bitch and orders her out of the ring.

This was the only match of the night that was a bit of a dissapointment for me. I just didn’t like Hayter calling East a bitch and being so disrespectful. I get that Hayter’s a heel, but since East doesn’t have much history in the promotion to begin with, it just felt a bit cruel and unearned. I hope we get to see East get in a little offense next time.

LIVVII GRACE VS VIPER

HARMONY: Now this was a match I really enjoyed. I am a huge fan of Viper, and Livvii Grace has made a huge impact on the Pro Wrestling EVE roster in a short amount of time. As the announce table noted, this was two big fan favorites slugging it out for fun in the ring, and it was just an enormously entertaining match from beginning to end.

Viper’s personality makes every match she wrestles a lot of fun, and Grace’s evident excitement at being in the ring with Viper in front of the Pro Wrestling EVE audience was contagious. Viper is just something else. I am always astounded by her strength and her speed, and her cannonball is one of my favorites. But Grace is no slouch in this match either.

A win here would be the biggest win in Grace’s career, and she’s not going to give Viper an easy victory. Grace shows us some moves we haven’t seen before, like a beautiful uppercut, that complement her flying strikes and body blows well. They trade headbutts and slam each other around the ring, tossing each other around and even getting in some top-rope moves. Viper ends it with a Viper Driver, but Grace comes out looking amazing as well. I love it when a new match-up of wrestlers finds that kind of chemistry. I hope they meet up again soon.

Also, I have to say it was sweet to see Viper take some time to put Grace over at the end. It’s always nice to see new talent given some credibility by established favorites, and it made me like Viper even more. I also loved her callout of Aja Kong. To be the best, you have to beat the best, and Viper wants to be the best. Look out, Kong- you won at WrestleQueendom, but I don’t think Viper is done with you yet.
