Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins, after successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against Elias, came out to offer an open challenge for the title. The call was answered by Dolph Ziggler, and these two had a match that you would expect from them. Seth is really just on another level right now, and it’s a joy to watch him every week because I know it will be a fun match no matter who his opponent is. You give him Ziggler to work with, that just makes it even better.

I am a bit confused on some things with Rollins character though. Since turning baby face, Rollins character has been about him realizing his prior mistakes, and now doing the right thing and trying to give the fans his best performance every night, making it “Monday Night Rollins.” That being said though, at Money in the Bank, Rollins cheated to win by hooking Elias’ tights on a roll up, and then trying to do the same in this match against Ziggler. Ziggler countered it though to roll up seth, hooking the tights as well to get the win.

Just odd, I can’t really feel sympathy for Seth being cheated out of the title when he won by cheating already and then attempting to win again by cheating. Minor details though in what was a great match. Overall, they told a good story of Seth being this fighting champion, and that being to his own detriment.

Dolph and Drew would cut a promo saying that this is just “the first of many.” Would be nice to see Drew and Dolph going after the tag team titles, while also having Dolph as the Intercontinental Title. Maybe even seeing Drew challenge for the Universal Title as well. Rollins also had a promo later, saying that there are no excuses, and that Dolph beat him this time, but he’ll be evoking  his rematch clause next week to have another match for Intercontinental Title.
