Braun Strowman Must Beat Brock Lesnar Clean for Championship

At this year’s Money In The Bank PPV Braun Strowman officially became “monster in the bank” Unlike past opportunistic cash ins, the monster among men needs to challenge Brock Lesnar straight up and beat him decisively. He is ready.

The reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Universal Champion is Brock Lesnar. It has been that way for over 430 days. The hardcore fans of the product believe that Lesnar is stale. Many want the main championship defended monthly. However, being a part timer gives Lesnar and the championship an elite level of importance.

Lesnar would run out of worthy challengers fast if he was present full-time. Furthermore, this part-time schedule sets up a collision course like no other. Braun Strowman now has an almost guaranteed path to the beast. This match-up is the epitome of the irresistible force meets the immovable object.

Strowman is an absolute anomaly of a super heavyweight. He is literally and figuratively larger than life. In addition, unlike most big men in wrestling Strowman has solid verbal skills. More importantly, Braun Strowman has proven to be coachable.

According to Doric Sam of Wrestling Inc, during a conversation on Heated Conversations podcast The gargantuan talked about learning from other giants. Strowman stated “Big Show my ‘Wrestling Dad,’ because he treats me like a son. When I do something dumb he whacks me over the head and tells me not to do it again.” Strowman has shown a willingness to listen to one of the most successful giant of all time.

Especially relevant, Braun Strowman is a fast learner. The typical big man is stiff, generic, and dry (ex: Big Cass). Per internetwrestlingdatabase the monster had less than 10 matches in NXT. More indication of him being a sponge. Athletes that have his size and intangibles don’t grow on trees. All that makes him THE one to conquer ‘the conqueror’.

Brock Lesnar’s aura would not be harmed in any way. He is already solidified in both MMA and professional wrestling. Strowman is bigger, stronger, and younger than Brock Lesnar. Most of all, Lesnar has plans to return to the UFC some time soon. Protecting the beast should not be a bigger priority than establishing a new giant. It is traditional to pass the torch on the way out and Lesnar should be no different.

Then, Braun Strowman will be forever known as the guy who ended Lesnar’s historic reign. This would be similar to how Lesnar is known for beating Undertaker’s streak. That did wonders for his career. Fans are already fully behind the monster among. WWE must go all the way now.

WWE has done a great job of keeping everyone waiting. Still, it is important to strike while the iron is hot. The next marquee event is WWE Summerslam. One would think that is the most worthy stage for Strowman vs. Lesnar. The cash in needs to be upfront and decisive.

Typically, Money in the Bank winners are cowardly  opportunists. Strowman can be unique by cashing in and beating Lesnar in a squash match. Lesnar can get minimal offense in, while Strowman no sells the rest. That just may be best for business.
