3. AJ Styles Defeats Aiden English

WWE Champion AJ Styles is scheduled to defend his championship against Rusev at Extreme Rules, also known as RUSEV DAY! Two weeks ago on Smackdown Live, Rusev won a 5-man gauntlet match to become the #1 contender for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship. Rusev has been over with the crowd for so long, and the T-shirt sales have finally paid off.

After Rusev won the #1 contendership match, AJ Styles came into the ring to congratulate Rusev and shake his hand as a sign of respect. Rusev gladly shook hands with his future opponent, but Aiden English decides to step his foot into the fray and shake hands with AJ Styles too. Aiden English pulled back his hand when AJ Styles was about to shake it. AJ Styles got “emotional” and punched Aiden English’s lights out.

Last week, Rusev defeated Xavier Woods and cut a promo on AJ Styles to make a statement and gain momentum for the inevitable title match at Extreme Rules. Since AJ Styles missed WWE Smackdown Live last week due to his tour of Melbourne and Sydney, he can now get his hands on Aiden English tonight and beat him to gain some momentum as well. In that case, it won’t just be Rusev Day. It would be a PHENOMENAL Rusev Day.
