Does Vince McMahon Even Pay Attention To WWE NXT?

The Iconics first appeared on SmackDown Live in a beat down of then Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, which would lead to a Money in the Bank cash in for Carmella. Since then, there hasn’t really been a lot of winning from this duo. When they first came up to the main roster, and did their typical annoying promos, it actually had a good amount of heat.
Now they do those same promos in front of a mostly dead crowd, however. Obviously the reason for that is now everyone is conditioned to expect that when they come out, they’re going to end up losing anyway so there’s not much point in caring.
Personally I’m quite a fan of Peyton and Billie’s act. They’re great at just being annoying heels. Again though, they don’t have any sort of direction. It doesn’t feel like these two are going anywhere, it just feels like they’ll be in the same spot they’re in now for the foreseeable future.
Not everyone can be pushed to be champion or anything like that, but there are ways to give characters direction without having to put them in the title picture. Give them a story line. And no, losing to Becky Lynch every other week is not considered a story line.
