At Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary 2018 Pay Per View, Su Yung will defend the Knockouts Championship against Madison Rayne, who has quickly climbed to the top of the division. Here are three reasons why Yung should spoil Rayne’s string of victories.

Since returning to Impact Wrestling, Madison Rayne has become one of the show’s biggest stars (again). Not only has she defeated Taya Valkyrie once, but Su Yung’s challenger for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary 2018 has also beaten the braggadocios Tessa Blanchard twice. Rayne’s win over Blanchard at Under Pressure was one of the most heart-warming surprises of 2018 in wrestling, because it was a typical babyface win from one of Impact’s tried-and-true faces.

It will take something special for Rayne to upset Yung at Slammiversary, though, because while Rayne is portrayed as the better one-on-one competitor, that all goes out the window against Yung. She’s put Rosemary and Allie in coffins, and her first title defense in Impact (not including specials) could easily be a successful one.

As a whole, the Slammiversary card looks absolutely stacked, with Yung vs. Rayne being one of the must-see matches on the card.

With that said, here are three reasons why Yung should retain the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary in the face of stiff competition.
