Most Hype: Rusev vs. AJ Styles

For the first time, we will see Rusev challenge for a world title in WWE. It’s a joy for me to see this, as I’ve always been a big fan of Rusev. He’s one of those guys to me that just seem to be able to make anything work.

He can be your foreign heel and make it work, or he can be your comedic baby face and also pull that off. Or he can do what he’s doing now and have a mixture of comedy while also remaining a threatening force as a heel. It’s good to finally see Rusev get the shot that I believe he has deserved for a long time.

The build to this match is one I’ve very much enjoyed, as WWE have done a great job in positioning Rusev as a threat to AJ’s title, even though he most likely will be losing. I have no doubt that this will be a great match, and it will be a great match for Rusev to have to show that he’s capable of delivering in a big title match.

Even though he might not win this match at WWE Extreme Rules 2018, hopefully showing how capable he is in on the big stage in this match will help Rusev win a major title at some point down the line. Oh, and AJ Styles is still AJ Styles, so there’s no reason this match won’t deliver.
