2. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch Premieres On SmackDown Live

Since Charlotte is out due to injury and Naomi and Lana are still waiting to team up for some tag action, Asuka and Becky Lynch seem to be the top 2 contenders for Carmella’s SmackDown Women’s Title. Thus, I foresee a first-time match up occurring between these two tonight on SmackDown Live to determine the new #1 contender.

Asuka has had terrible luck against Carmella in their championship feud after losing two times in a row to due to some annoying distractions by James Ellsworth. Some of those annoying distractions can be viewed in the link below from WWE’s YouTube page:

The Empress is definitely not done with pursuing the SmackDown Women’s Title since she has not lost fair and square to the Princess from Staten Island. Consequently, she should definitely be considered for another title shot.

Becky, on the other hand, has been on a roll as of late by earning weekly victories against Absolution’s Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville as well as IIconics’ Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. She is telling a story through these hard-fought victories every week, and she is proving to everyone that she is a workhorse living by her promise and doing whatever it takes to be SmackDown Women’s champion once again. It should be no different in her potential match tonight against Asuka.

All in all, this would be a great premiere for SmackDown Live. I feel both women deserve a title match, so I foresee Carmella forcing a double disqualification in this match. This would then lead to a triple threat women’s title match for SummerSlam.
