Team Hell No Funeral
The Miz comes out with an over-the-top funeral for Daniel Bryan and Kane’s tag team following their loss to the Bludgeon Brothers at Extreme Rules. Of course, Miz begins this serious event by shamelessly self-promoting, as he hypes up the fact that the “Miz and Mrs.” is coming up next week after SmackDown Live. He also mentions that he was the MVP of the Celebrity Softball Game.
WWE’s resident heat magnet just starts verbally shredding Kane and Bryan, dissing their friendship and bringing up examples of how both are terrible friends to each other. Miz admonishes them for their loss to the Bludgeon Brothers, proclaims them dead as a team, and then gets the entire crowd to stand up for a moment of silence. Spoiler: They were not silent.
After a sea of “YES!” chants break out, Miz gloated about how he was proven “right” about Bryan and Kane. He said that Bryan is a “bogus hero” and was never a world-beating wrestler. Miz adds that “no one is sadder than Daniel Bryan”.
Yes, he absolutely wants to get his ass handed to him. And he does. Because after he says that Bryan will never main event a WrestleMania again and is killing his legacy each and every week, Bryan crashed the party. He chased Miz off by attacking him from behind, starting a “YES!” chant in the ring.
Grade: A, I love The Miz. Put this on the list of #elite promos from the A-Lister, because this monologue was legendary.
