WWE: How to Rehabilitate Every Championship in the Company

Creatively, WWE looks to be at one of its all-time lowest points right now. Their championship titles are suffering because of it, and it’s obvious that the prestige of each title needs fixing. Not all hope is lost however, as there are mostly easy fixes for just about every title under the main roster umbrella.
I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but compared to WWE, the way that New Japan Pro Wrestling’s bookers and creative team handles their storylines, characters, and most importantly championships is something to behold. Why, just a few months ago, they wrapped up a two year long story in June, when Kenny Omega finally beat Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Okada, considered by many one of the best wrestlers in the world and the greatest IWGP Champion of all time, put on three classics for the belt with Omega. The IWGP Heavyweight title seems like this huge thing, because it really is; the belt has prestige. This presents a problem that, wouldn’t you know it, WWE has in spades.
Essentially, no championship title seems special anymore. Nearly each and every belt, at least on the main roster, gives off this overwhelming aura of “meh.” Even the world titles, supposedly the cream of the crop, what every WWE wrestler can aspire to, have lost their luster. We need to fix that. Rather, WWE needs to fix that.
Fortunately for them, there’s a moderately easy fix for every title that needs one. This, my friends, is how we can fix WWE’s championships.
