8. Daniel Bryan

When The Miz started insulting Daniel Bryan yet again, admonishing him for ruining his legacy and calling his wrestling abilities into question, Bryan came out to let actions speak louder than words. He attacked Miz from behind, ran him out of the ring, and started a “YES!” chant in the middle of the ring to show Miz that he will always be the better man.

Bryan’s journey to the WWE Championship will be a slow climb, but it will be an absolutely satisfying journey to watch develop. The Miz is the perfect foil for Bryan, because he is everything that Bryan is not.

7. Samoa Joe

Tye Dillinger wanted his match with Samoa Joe, and, oh man, did he get it. Joe puts wrestlers to sleep for fun, and the Coquina Clutch has to be one of the top ten finishers in WWE right now. Joe will need to make a statement to Styles soon, because Paige is about to announce Styles’s opponent for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam on next week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

Based on what we’ve seen, Joe should be Styles’s next challenger, because there doesn’t seem to be a better option than the indomitable Samoan Submission Machine. He probably won’t win the title at SummerSlam, but it should be a hell of a dream match. Unless, if we get a multi-man match, then it’s still a dream match but in a different way…
