4. Randy Orton

Ever since Randy Orton lost his months-long feud to Jinder Mahal last summer, the WWE Universe has been begging for Orton to turn heel. The issue is that because everyone loves #HeelRandy so much, WWE has to be smart with how they turn him so that they can get the maximum amount of boos possible. I mean, we all know how much the fans pop for an RKO.

Orton’s beatdown of Jeff Hardy was incredibly uncomfortable, and the fans seemed horrified. When Orton started ripping at Hardy’s pierced ear, we all collectively cringed and begged Randy to just STOP IT ALREADY.

THIS is the Orton we’ve always wanted, and the fact that he’s feuding with a babyface most people care about is immense. On the surface, it seems like Hardy has been written of television for a bit to nurse some injuries, but perhaps we’ll get an insane match between the two at SummerSlam. Or maybe Orton is after Shinsuke Nakamura to avenge last summer’s loss?

Regardless, Orton was awesome, and this has the potential to be one of the best angles WWE has run on the main roster in a while.

3. Becky Lynch

Speaking of great main roster angles, Becky Lynch’s winning streak is something almost all of us can get behind. The vast majority of fans want to see Becky defeat Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. While it was infuriating to see Asuka lose in that fashion at Extreme Rules, if the whole purpose was to give Carmella every ounce of heat possible just for her to lose the title to Becky at the second-biggest show of the year, then “I’ll allow it.”

Lynch’s promo after her win over Mandy Rose was so heartfelt that it absolutely felt real. I mean, everything Becky says feels real, because she is just that good of a promo. But this one? Yeah, it felt especially sweet.
