6. Dolph Ziggler (last week: 3)

Towards the end of the first hour of Raw, the Intercontinental Champion came out for a promo about how great he is, and was interrupted by Bobby Roode. It’s a far cry from being in the main event of a pay per view against Seth Rollins in an Iron Man Match, but this is Ziggler’s career. Two steps forward, one step back.

The match itself against Roode was pretty good. As I mentioned earlier, I’m both surprised and thankful that the old “[BLANK] HAS DEFEATED THE CHAMPION” story was avoided here. I don’t think any less of Bobby Roode because he lost a match to a champion. It keeps the title prestigious, and it helps build up two superstars for something down the road. So yay, Dolph!

5. Seth Rollins (last week: 2)

This is the lowest I’ve ranked Seth Rollins since I started these power rankings, and it kind of hurts me to have him here. Top five is nothing to sneeze at, but for a guy who rode his Intercontinental Championship reign to several consecutive weeks at number one? It feels like a slump.

But thinking about what’s been going on with Rollins lately, it doesn’t make much sense to keep him any closer to the top. Fair or not, he is on a bit of a losing streak, while some of the competitors ranked above him are winning their matches. Rollins seems out of the Universal Championship hunt (even though he should be facing Lesnar at SummerSlam), and who knows what’s happening with his feud with Dolph Ziggler — is it actually over?
