1. Moose turns on DeAngelo Williams

Former NFL star DeAngelo Williams recently returned to the Impact Zone after a year to bolster the cause of his friend Moose as he approached his Impact Championship match with Austin Aries, getting laid out by Aries in the process.

Recently, Dan Scotti hypothesized that the reappearance of Williams during the most pivotal moment in Moose’s Impact career could foreshadow that Williams is looking for the soft spot to put the knife in. On the contrary, I think that the latest episode of Impact Wrestling showed that we could potentially expect the opposite.

Moose has been a fan favorite and is the obvious face going into this championship match, but if you watched him in his last appearance on television before Slammiversary, you would have seen that he’s so hungry for this win that’s it’s made him aggressive. I’m not actually allowed to repeat most of what Moose said to Aries in the ring.

You can assure that aggression will be there on Sunday, but I think ultimately a loss is in store for Moose, and if it is, we should expect that aggression to spill out well after the match.

DeAngelo Williams will be there in some respect to support Moose, whether it be in the front row or at ringside. When Moose loses, DeAngelo Williams will be there to offer a supportive hand to the defeated Moose, but Moose won’t be looking for support. He’ll be reeling from the loss to the haughty Aries, and he’ll be ready to take it out on someone. What starts off as a simple shove could turn into an all-out brawl for these two, and couple potentially work into a feud for the two down the line.
