2. Brian Cage Will Probably Blow Your Mind

No matter which promotion he’s wrestling for, Brian Cage will do something that makes you go, “Wow,” and he really caught my eye during his feud with Bobby Lashley. Cage defeated Lashley twice, as the two elite athletes produced some of the most dazzling moves I’ve seen this year. If you want to watch two hidden gem matches in 2018, go back and check out their work together on YouTube.

I was impressed by Cage’s work even more during his whole “World Tour” where he was putting on great matches with wrestlers from around the world that would be broadcast on Impact TV. Cage can face any type of opponent, putting together great matches against big men like Kongo Kong or Cruiserweights like Matt Sydal.

At Slammiversary, Cage will face X Division Champion Sydal in what should be an absolute barnburner of a match. Sydal and Cage are two of wrestling’s finest athletes, and after Sydal defeated Cage earlier due to Kong’s interference, Cage will be seeking revenge against a man who likes to tell us that his “Third Eye” is open.

That Third Eye should once again come in handy for Sydal, but will it be enough to overcome Cage? Every time I watch Cage wrestle, I’m in awe with how high he can jump and just how strong he is. If we see “Weapon X” on Sunday, then that will be confirmation of this being a special match. I mean, this could end up being Impact’s best match of the year.
