4. Moose

I loved the segments with Pentagon Jr., Sami Callihan, Madison Rayne, and Su Yung, but perhaps nobody shined more on the go-home show than Moose (even more so than new power ranking entrant Joe Hendry).

Moose absolutely kicked Austin Aries’s ass, paying him back for a low-blow that night, as well as his chairshot on DeAngelo Williams the week before. The dynamic between Moose and Williams scares me, because even though both former NFL players are on the same page right now, I always have a hard time believing that an Atlanta Falcon and a Carolina Panther can get along.

It was awesome watching Moose get back at Aries on Thursday night by stalking him from behind and beating the hell out of him for that low-blow. Aries never fights fair, so Moose will have to hope that his strength and conditioning are as primed as he hopes in order to pick up an Impact World Championship victory.

3. Brian Cage

It will take Brian Cage’s best finisher, Weapon X, to pry that X Division Championship off of Matt Sydal, who has held this title since March. That’s quite the reign for Sydal, and he’s enjoyed a tremendous year in Impact. But Cage has been even more extraordinary. I mean, who else is capable of defeating Bobby Lashley not once but twice? (Heck, Roman Reigns couldn’t even beat him at Extreme Rules!)

Anyway, Cage is such a rare breed of athlete that you can buy him as an X Division Champion (have you seen his moonsault or vertical?) despite the fact that he’s way bigger than the other competitors. Watching him holding the X Division Championship would be quite a story, but I wonder what the likes of Dezmond Xavier would think with Cage holding the title. Defeating Cage is an even more daunting task than defeating Sydal.
