Cody (Bullet Clube Elite) w/ Brandi Rhodes & Burnard the Business Bear vs. TK O’Ryan (The Kingdom)

Security cleared everyone away, and the match between O’Ryan and Cody started immediately. Cody opened the match with incredible babyface fire, hitting a great powerslam on TK, and tearing his shirt off. Cody has his entourage now, and it’s quite amazing to see how he’s gone full babyface so easily. Cody gets a lot of flak, but he really is a wonderful performer that can play a babyface or heel so well.

Cody hit some chops and a back body drop on TK. O’Ryan responded with a chop, but Cody hit a Goldust style uppercut that sent TK outside. Cody went for a springboard dive, but O’Ryan grabbed Brandi and put her in harms way. TK O’Ryan sent Cody flying into the ring post and shoved Burnard down! O’Ryan got major heat, and he also went after Conrad Thompson at ringside.

O’Ryan then got the heat on Cody for a few minutes. TK locked on a headlock after flipping the fans off. Cody rolled through a sunset flip and locked on a Figure Four Leglock. Cody started to make a comeback with kicks and punches, but TK stayed right in there and hit a big jab that dropped Cody. Cody managed to hit the Disaster kick, and as TK rolled outside the ring, Brandi slapped TK! Cody hit a tope and then nailed TK with a soft drink on the outside.

TK shoved the ref into the ropes and he crotched Cody on the top rope. TK went for a powerslam off the top rope, and Cody kicked out. TK said something horrible to Brandi, and she took off her earrings and went in the ring. TK grabbed his title belt as the ref had his back turned and nailed Cody. Cody kicked out. Rhodes managed to duck a clothesline and hit a Cross Rhodes! Cody wins!

Result: Cody

Rating: 4.25 stars out of 5

This was an excellent match. Cody showed so much fire here, and everything he did looked really smooth. This was one of Cody’s better matches recently, and when he’s showing this kind of babyface fire, he seems even better. It’s possible that Cody is a better babyface than a heel, which is saying something. Cody then joined the commentary team for the next match.
