The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (Bullet Club Elite) vs. The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) vs. The Addiction (Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels) (SoCal Uncensored) w/ Scorpio Sky – Non-Title Grudge Match

It wasn’t long before this match broke down and the Briscoes were attacking the other four guys with cheap tactics. Matt Jackson sent Nick flying into the air, and he dropkicked both Briscoes Matt and Nick hit some innovative offence, ending a wheelbarrow with a cutter. Kazarian hit a combo pin on the Briscoes, with a jackknife type pin and a northern lights suplex on the other Briscoe.

Jay Briscoe started stomping Kazarian in the corner. The Briscoes got the heat on Kazarian for a bit, and kept it up with slick double team offence. The Bucks got tagged in and flew all over the ring, as Nick Jackson hit a cross body on both Briscoes before dropkicking Daniels off the apron. The Bucks locked on Stereo sharpshooters on The Briscoes. The Bucks hit stereo superkicks and stereo suicide dives onto the Briscoes.

They went for a Meltzer Driver, but Mark Briscoe caught Nick Jackson and hit a capture suplex sending Nick into Matt. Daniels hit a STO on Mark and went for Angel’s Wing, and Briscoe hit a kick breaking it up. All three teams had an exchange that I couldn’t keep up with, but it was great. The Briscoes were taken out by the Addiction, but the Bucks superkicked them. Kazarian hit a hurricanrana to the floor.

Christopher Daniels hit a BME on Jay Briscoe, but Nick Jackson broke it up with a superkick. Daniels and Jay Briscoe started to exchange strikes, and Jay hit a Death Valley Driver. Mark Briscoe and came in and hit a clothesline. Daniels went for a BME on Mark, but Jay cut him off, and Nick Jackson flew in and hit a doomsday device on him with Jay Briscoe. Jay hit a Jay Driller, and Mark hit a Froggy Bow, but Matt Jackson broke up the pinfall.

Mark Briscoe hit a blockbuster on Frankie to the outside, and Matt Jackson superkicked Mark. Jay Briscoe dove on Matt Jackson. Nick Jackson dove on everyone. Somehow in the fray, the Young Bucks managed to isolate Mark Briscoe and hit a Meltzer Driver on Mark Briscoe for the pinfall! The Bucks have a win over the champions! This has to mean they’re getting a title shot soon.

Result: The Young Bucks

Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5

Excellent main event. The Young Bucks have now earned a title shot, and aim to become duel champions – The IWGP Tag Team Champions, and the ROH Tag Team Champions. ROH seems to have The Young Bucks in that position frequently, but you can’t argue with the results. All 3 of the teams in this match are main event level tag teams, and the Bucks are a massive draw for ROH. Still, I would like to see some fresh blood injected into the tag division. Maybe bring in Chase Owens and have him team with Hangman Page? Regardless, ROH could use a few more top tag teams.
