Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

The Big Dog vs. The Chosen One! Phase 1 was a success; Drew McIntyre ensured that his tag partner, Dolph Ziggler, kept the Intercontinental title at Extreme Rules against Seth Rollins. He was then able to clear his mind, evade the shadow of Ziggler, and chase after his own title: the Universal title.

However, Phase 2 was a failure; Mcintyre failed to win the triple threat match on Raw against Finn Balor and Roman Reigns, which would have propelled him to the universal title scene. Sadly, he lost without even getting pinned since Roman superman punched him outside the ring and speared Balor for the victory. McIntyre certainly cannot be happy about phase 2 being a failure, and the reason for that failure was none other than Roman Reigns.

So what’s Phase 3? Phase 3 is McIntyre seeking revenge on the Big Dog for ruining his quest for stardom in the main event scene. To obtain this revenge and make things even, I foresee Drew McIntyre screwing Roman in his match with Bobby Lashley to determine Brock Lesnar’s #1 contender. This will lead to a match between Roman and McIntyre at SummerSlam.

This fresh feud is great for both men. Drew McIntyre gets the opportunity to fight the GUY of the WWE in exchange for a universal title shot. On the other hand, Roman can stay away from Lesnar and the universal title, thereby preventing repetition in his storylines as well as the crowd’s incessant boos.

If this match gets showcased at SummerSlam, I foresee Roman Reigns defeating Drew McIntyre in order to get his own revenge for being screwed out of the universal title picture and make up for his two big losses against Bobby Lashley in the past month.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
