Overall, Impact Wrestling’s 16th annual Slammiversary pay-per-view looks like a strong show.  Which matches will stand out?

In 2018, Impact Wrestling has hit another creative peak. With a couple of exceptions, the bookers have done an excellent job accentuating wrestlers strengths and crafting interesting storylines that are fairly easy to follow.

All that hard work will culminate at the company’s 16th annual Slammiversary event, which takes place this Sunday. Eight matches are scheduled for Impact’s anniversary supercard and all of them appear to have the potential to get the audience buzzing in some way, shape, or form.

On paper, Slammiversary appears to have a strong card. However, all matches aren’t created equally. Some matches will be better than others based on a number of factors: placement on the card, the talent level of the wrestlers, the chemistry the workers have with one another, storyline support, and how much time they get to tell their story.

So, which matches will stand out? Which bout will steal the show? Will any fall short of expectations? I’m not a psychic, so I don’t know the answers to those questions. No one will until the show goes off the air. But I can guess which ones will shine the brightest.

So join me as I break down the Slammiversary card and rank all of the bouts based in projected match quality.
