3. IC Champion Dolph Ziggler Defeats Finn Bálor

Since Finn Bálor and Drew McIntyre were the losers in the show-opening triple threat match from last week, it would also be fitting for them to face off this week. However, Drew McIntyre’s tag partner, IC Champ Dolph Ziggler, has been on a roll as of late by defeating the top babyface mid-carders on the Raw roster. He has beaten Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules and Bobby Roode last week on WWE Raw.

The only other top babyface mid-carder left on Raw is Finn Bálor. Bálor has never faced Ziggler one-on-one on the main roster, and Ziggler has always looked forward to facing Bálor since the Superstar Shake-up. Tonight could be the night that the WWE fans get a dream come true.

I foresee Ziggler maintaining his momentum and credibility as a top dog champion by defeating Bálor tonight with some slight distraction from McIntyre. The distraction will keep Bálor looking strong in defeat and would make sense since he and McIntyre were both involved in a triple threat match last week on Raw. This match is a potential show-stealer as well, and Bálor can prove why he deserves to be in the IC title picture while his dream of winning back the universal title fades away.
