Raw Tag Team Championship Match

The B-Team (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel) (c) vs. Deleters of Worlds (Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt)

Result: The B-Team defeated Deleters of Worlds via pinfall

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Prior to the match, Dallas and Axel discuss Evolution backstage. Now don’t take this the wrong way, but if the entire night features the male superstars fawning all over the concept of an all-women’s pay per view, it’ll cheapen the whole thing by making it seem like a gimmick as opposed to a legit show. Hopefully it’s just this here, and since it’s right after the big announcement it does fit. But going too far would be a mistake.

And then Elias is in the ring for no apparent reason? Before the commercial break, commentary said “Tag Tile Match UP NEXT,” but there’s a guy promoting his new album? Doesn’t anyone backstage pay attention to the run sheet?

In the first part of the match, Wyatt and Hardy were in complete control. In fact, they forced the B-Team to regroup outside the ring. It must have worked, because after the commercials Dallas had Wyatt locked up in a chinlock, forcing Bray to make a hot tag to Matt.

Of course, Axel and Dallas continued their run of improbable good luck when Bo tossed Bray into Matt, which allowed Axel to cinch in a crucifix pin for the victory. It kind of came out of nowhere, but whatever. This was never going to be a 5-star match. It is what it is, because this had to be the end point of the feud. Swapping the titles back to Hardy and Wyatt would have unnecessarily prolonged this. And with The Revival watching backstage, it’s time to move on.

The post-match antics may indicate a double turn, as The B-Team are incredibly popular, and Hardy and Wyatt are floundering. Plus, a heel Revival going up against a babyface B-Team makes a ton more sense. Whether that turn sticks or not, I can’t say, but it definitely seemed like the intention.
