Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Local Talent

Result: Sasha Banks & Bayley defeated Local Talent via submission

Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars

So, that’s it for these two tonight? All these weeks of vitriol, hatred, and animosity, and now because Sasha said the three magic words it all disappeared? Sorry, but I really don’t like that.

I’m on record as saying I like the slow progression of this inevitable break-up/blow-up/whatever-up you want to call it. But I’m also on record as saying that while moving slow has helped, it’s well beyond the point where it should have climaxed. And now, they’re teaming up against enhancement talent? It’s literally senseless. This makes zero sense.

If you want these two to have any kind of heat, facing two unnamed superstars in the first hour of Raw is not the way to go about it. Sure, they get a solid, never in question victory out of it. But why? What’s the purpose here?

The general assumption was that the big match between Sasha and Bayley would be at SummerSlam — it’s at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which is where arguably their greatest match took place. But with the announcement of Evolution, and still rumors of a Women’s Tag Team Championship being introduced, it’s obvious that this will continue until at least then.

And who knows? WrestleMania 35 is in the New York/New Jersey area, so maybe they’ll keep this going until then. Nothing like a good 18 month feud in 2018-19.
