Tyler Breeze vs. Mojo Rawley

Result: Mojo Rawley defeated Tyler Breeze via pinfall

Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars

Apparently not concussed from last week’s match, Tyler Breeze requested this rematch. Almost immediately, poor Breezy gets launched with a vicious pounce. Side note: Is Mojo going to have to stop using that move with Keith Lee incoming? Or is Lee going to have to do without? Maybe it’ll be a Slingblade kind of deal, like with Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.

Anyway, the match is way too short to really comment on it. Breeze got in more offense than he did last week, but that was only because he got like zero offense last week. And this week, the Alabama Slam Mojo used to finish the match didn’t look as brutal. Not only did Rawley look like he slowed down the slam, Breeze got his hands up underneath his head. The Alabama Slam is a great move that looks really painful, probably because it looks so unsafe.

During the match, Bobby Roode pops in from backstage for a quick interview. Apparently, a former NXT Champion talking about No Way Jose is much more interesting than a match between two promising young superstars. And WWE wonders why the crowd “hijacks” matches so often…

(Also: Did I hear a “We Want Enzo” chant during this match? Or are my ears going again?)
