5. WrestleMania 27

What many people might not know, is Daniel Bryan’s debut at “The Showcase Of The Immortals” actually came at WrestleMania 27. Before the show went on air, Bryan faced Sheamus in a Lumberjack match for the United States Championship in the pre-show.

However, the match ended in a no-contest, due to the lumberjacks physically beating down both Bryan and Sheamus which the referee called for a disqualification. This wrote the story for another match down the road, because this wasn’t the first time Bryan and Sheamus would verse off (relate to WrestleMania 28 above.)

The match was then turned into a over-the-top-rope battle royal between Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and the lumberjacks for the championship by the SmackDown General Manager at that time, Teddy Long. The Great Khali won the battle royal, but Bryan lasted until the final 3, and mixing it up during the battle royal with the likes of Curt Hawkins, Drew McIntyre and Tyson Kidd.

Not a bad debut at the biggest show of the year, for someone who was just finding their feet in WWE at that time. However, he’s had many better moments than this, on the main WrestleMania card as well.
