3. Becky Lynch Defeats Carmella

Becky Lynch’s straight fire momentum won’t stop! She will defeat SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella to earn a title shot against her at SummerSlam. However, it may not be so clear cut.

Asuka has been notably absent after losing to Carmella at Extreme Rules. There’s no way she’s done pursuing the Women’s Championship, and she must not be too happy after losing twice to Carmella. I foresee Asuka interfering in this match or implementing a post-match attack in order to be noticed and not forgotten.

A heel turn for Asuka could work in maintaining the crowd’s interest in her character. If she does something noticeable tonight, SmackDown GM Paige could give Asuka the same opportunity she gave Becky, in which Asuka must beat Carmella next week in order to be included in the SmackDown Women’s Title Match for a triple threat. SmackDown is indeed the land of opportunity, and giving Asuka another chance to shine would fit the mantra.

Speaking of mantras, Becky is money! She has been a workhorse with her continuous wins week after week and she will certainly be in the title picture for SummerSlam. She is the very first SmackDown Women’s Champion, and it has been long overdue for her to be involved in the title picture once again.
