Tommaso Ciampa Humbly Gives His NXT Title Win 8 Stars

Tommaso Ciampa has redefined Sports Entertainment, and he is a shining example as the WWE NXT Championship. Just kidding, he’s a jerk and nobody likes him. He’s literally the devil.

On last week’s episode of WWE NXT, Tommaso Ciampa won the NXT Championship off of Aleister Black after referee Drake Wuertz took a massive bump to the exposed ring area. Johnny Gargano tried to save the matchup and restore order, but he ended up accidentally hitting Black with the title, allowing Ciampa to hit his finisher on Black for the 1-2-3.

The match itself was yet another captivating masterpiece involving Ciampa, whose battles with Gargano at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and Chicago II were arguably WWE’s two best matches this year. Ciampa is starting a new, scary era in NXT, unless if Gargano or Black can regain the title at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

Many fans are awaiting Dave Meltzer’s appraisal of Ciampa vs. Black from television this week, but the answer to your question has already been given by the devil himself. Ciampa announced his own star rating to the NXT Universe, giving himself the full eight stars. Hear that Kenny Omega? You can eat your heart out (or feed it to Tama Tonga…he looks hungry).

How do you disagree with a man this crazy? One fan remarked that Ciampa’s eight star rating is actually three stars lower than what he should have received, meaning that Ciampa is quite the humble fellow. *Gags*

It’s unclear how long Ciampa’s reign at the top of NXT will last, but I’m going to enjoy the ride while I can. He’s already one of the most entertaining NXT Champions of all-time, so I guess that’s why “they” call him Tommy Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Gargano blames himself for Ciampa grabbing the NXT Championship against Black, and he’ll do everything in his power to make sure he rights this wrong. NXT is in a dark place thanks to its “Scourge” (God, I love Mauro Ranallo) capturing the brand’s most prized belt (kidding, that’s the NXT Women’s Championship).

So eight stars? He’s set quite a high bar for everyone else to catch up to, though I’m sure Gargano and Andrade “Cien” Almas will have some disputes about his rating system. But whatever, Ciampa’s ratings are more valid than Meltzer, and that isn’t an insult that is just a fact of life (obligatory shoutout to the Big Gravy Daddy, Eli Drake).
