Mark Henry Swerves Everyone
In what I consider one of the best swerves in WWE history, Mark Henry would interrupt John Cena in the ring, leaving his boots on the top of the ramp on his way down, symbolizing his incoming retirement. Mark, wearing the now infamous salmon colored suit, would deliver a heartfelt retirement speech.
Henry would speak on how he’s had a lot of success in the WWE, but the one thing he never did was win the WWE Championship. Cena would then, out of respect, hand the WWE title to Henry on his final night on the WWE roster.
After giving the title back to Cena, Henry would talk about his wife and children, and how hard it’s been for them with Mark being on the road as often as he has to be, before saying to his daughter “Baby I’m coming home.”
Cena would then raise Henry’s hand, and give him a hug, when out of nowhere Henry would deliver the strongest of World Strongest Slams to Cena. Henry would then yell off mic “I still got a lot left in the tank.” This came out of absolutely nowhere, and I don’t think many people, after hearing this heartfelt speech from Henry, expected the swerve that was coming.
