Charlotte’s Promo Back

Renee Young welcomes Charlotte Flair back, and she asks Charlotte how she feels about the opportunity to be added to the SummerSlam card. Charlotte said that she still has Becky’s back, and she was honestly unsure if she’d have a SummerSlam match before Carmella opened her mouth.

Young reminds her that Charlotte still has to beat Mella, who likes to brag that she’s beaten Flair twice, to get that title match at SummerSlam, but Flair seems unconcerned. Is she perhaps too overconfident here?

Joe Is Gonna Kill Youuuu

Samoa Joe is preparing for his WWE Championship match against AJ Styles at SummerSlam, and he is as menacing as ever. Last week on WWE SmackDown, Joe attacked Styles from behind while Paige was occupied with firing James Ellsworth, and Joe took full advantage, signing his own name as Styles’s SummerSlam opponent.

He starts off by stating how much he respects Styles for building up SmackDown Live, for making the WWE Championship prestigious, and for working hard to become a champion.

Joe says that Styles has put everything behind being champion, and that means he’s been a bad father and husband. He makes it even more personal by stating that Styles’s family will secretly be cheering for Joe at SummerSlam, because they will want their husband/father back. But Joe will be WWE Champion.

Grade: A, You need to see this promo. Joe is one of the best on the mic, and his intensity here was brilliant. He is as talented as he is contemptible as a character.
