3. John Cena Becomes First Visitor to Suplex City, SummerSlam 2014

When you look at this list closely, it becomes abundantly clear that Brock Lesnar loves to perform at SummerSlam! Evidently some of his biggest moments at WWE have taken place at the summer extravaganza. And in 2014, Lesnar produced a display that would come to define his most recent run in the WWE.

Upon his return in 2012, Lesnar had immediately feuded with the company’s top star, John Cena, only to surprisingly come out on the losing end. Two years later, Lesnar had been pushed as the most dominant wrestler in the organisation having been the first man to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

SummerSlam in 2014 proved to be the occasion on which Lesnar became the frightening new face of the WWE. In what amounted to a squash match, Lesnar completely obliterated Cena and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the process. The match was especially significant as Lesnar delivered an unbelievable sixteen German suplexes to Cena.

The professional wrestling fan-base were shocked by the sheer brutality of the match and the manner in which Brock won. This would lead to the birth of his greatest catchphrase at WrestleMania the following year and another outstanding match with a young upstart.
