WWE: Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

What do you get when three of the best wrestlers on the planet fight in a Triple Threat on Monday Night Raw at the beginning of the show? Greatness. That’s what you get.

I’m so impressed with what I’ve seen from Drew McIntyre since he was called back up to the WWE main roster, and he was the most dominant man in this match. Finn Balor was the most electric and Roman Reigns was the best overall, but nobody laid it in more than McIntyre. Despite the fact that Reigns won this match via a spear on Balor, you got the sense that McIntyre isn’t far off from being a Universal Champion.

The best spot in this match (and there were plenty of great ones) was Reigns’s spear to McIntyre on the outside. Balor moved out of the way at the very last second, making this vicious spear from the former NFL player seem all the more dangerous.

WWE: Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins

Before Seth Rollins’s title match against Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules, Rollins had to face Drew McIntyre in the main event of Raw. The stipulation here was that if McIntyre lost, he wouldn’t be at ringside for the match at Extreme Rules. Spoiler: McIntyre did not lose, which played a key role in Rollins failing to secure the Intercontinental Championship at the Pay Per View.

This match was a beauty, and it served as yet another example that “Monday Night Rollins” is WWE’s MVP this year. These two tore the house down, which is why so many fans are hoping for Rollins and McIntyre to have a rematch at SummerSlam.
