Impact Wrestling: Can Allie Prove She’s Better Than Tessa Blanchard?
Allie has taken it upon herself to be the hero of Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts Division, which means she’s leading the charge against kidnappers and bullies like Su Yung and Tessa Blanchard.
Thankfully, Allie doesn’t have to fight this battle alone, because the Knockouts Division is teeming with heels who are willing to take any shortcut to get to the top. On the most recent episode of Impact Wrestling, Allie teamed up with Kiera Hogan, who agreed to help her stop Su Yung’s reign of terror on the division.
Hogan and Allie faced off against Yung and her Undead Bridesmaid of Honor, who is nearly as creepy as Su is. The end result was a victory for the babyfaces, with Allie pinning Yung via her codebreaker, which has won her so many matches in her already-impressive career.
The victory was notable, because it marks the second time that Allie has been able to pin Yung in a match. This first occurred at Redemption, when Allie defeated Yung in a successful defense of the Knockouts Championship at the first Pay Per View of the new regime.
However, Yung would get her revenge in short order, defeating Allie at the television special “Under Pressure” in a “Casket Match”. Allie nearly had her defeated at one point, but Su’s combination of mischievousness and mythical power allowed her to trap Allie in the casket to pick up a harrowing victory.

Yung has only grown in power since that win. She defeated Madison Rayne at Slammiversary, trapping her in a casket, too, after the match was already over.
So the fact that Allie has now pinned Yung twice is noteworthy, because it cements the notion that “The Bunny” is the better woman. Between the two of them, Allie is the stronger competitor, regardless of Yung’s tricks or Undead Brides or whatever mystique she possesses. At the end of the day, Allie can overcome them, especially now that she has Hogan in her corner to help.
Granted, Allie and Hogan vs. Yung and an Undead Bride is a lopsided matchup, because the Undead Bride is the clear weak link of the four. So Yung can still claim that things would have turned out differently if this match weren’t set up in this way.
On top of that, while Allie has pinned the current Knockouts Champion twice, she has a much more pressing concern. While Yung reigns supreme over the Knockouts Division as the title-holder, Tessa Blanchard acts like she’s better than everyone else. She has the power, she has the pedigree, she has the stage presence, and she knows she’s special.
Blanchard is a worrisome challenge for Allie, and even though she defeated the former two-time Knockouts Champion at Slammiversary, she still isn’t done with “The Bunny”. After Allie’s win over Su, Blanchard came in and attacked Allie. There’s something about Allie that Tessa despises, and it may have something to do with the fact that they are polar opposite characters. Allie is sweet and brave, whereas Tessa is selfish and arrogant. These two were meant to clash.
Allie can walk away from this week’s action knowing that she is the better wrestler than Su, but she still has to prove herself against Tessa. The self-proclaimed Diamond of Impact Wrestling, though, has likely given Allie at least one more opportunity to show that she’s Tessa’s equal.
