5 Dream Matches for Matt Riddle in WWE

5. Velveteen Dream

Regardless of true “match quality” in the ring, and I’m sure it would be incredible anyways, I really just want to see these two characters interact. Velveteen Dream is so much of a weird, neurotic, sometimes even Goldust-esque character, and Matt Riddle might be the most chilled out character in WWE history. The two put together, in a ring, and left to their own storytelling devices down in NXT would be seriously magical.

Really, this could be a great first feud in WWE for Riddle. Dream currently seems to be in a program with EC3 (which he really needs to come out on top in), and going from such an intense character to a chilled out “bro” in Riddle would be a great contrast for fans. It helps that the possibilities with Dream’s character are endless, and judging by his stay in NXT, it seems like he can produce an A+ feud with anyone on the roster.

Having a strong character anchor point like Riddle to work with in and out of the ring can only elevate both men. Perhaps this could be the Dream’s NXT sendoff, showing that Riddle can compete with the yellow brand’s big boys. You give both Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle a jumping off point for their next storyline ventures.
