It’s time for Roman Reigns to finally dethrone Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam

In just over two weeks time at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar will put his Universal title on the line against Roman Reigns.

Reigns earned his shot at Lesnar, his third this year, by defeating Bobby Lashley on a recent edition of Raw in a decision that has not been particularly well met by portions of the WWE universe.

Reigns has already failed twice this year to defeat Lesnar, and many fans are annoyed that he has once again been given the option to take on Lesnar instead of another, perhaps more over, superstar.

The one thing that is perhaps more disliked than Roman Reigns by the WWE fanbase, however, is Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title reign.

Lesnar won the belt at WrestleMania 33 and has defended his title less than 10 times in those 18 months. With Brock’s contract reportedly up after SummerSlam, and with a big money UFC match on the horizon for the champion, it seems safe to assume that he will be dropping the belt to Reigns at the event.

Reigns’ victory at SummerSlam will likely be met with a negative reception, but the fact of the matter is, Reigns has to beat Lesnar at SummerSlam and become the new Universal champion. Let’s take at four reasons why that is the case.
