Reigns vs. Lesnar IV Preview

Hey, did you know that Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have faced each other before? You may have missed that little tidbit, since no one ever seems to talk about it.

But it’s true, and at SummerSlam it’ll be the fourth time the pair have met in singles competition, and the third time in 2018 alone. The feud goes back to 2015, which you already knew, and the belief is that it will finally end in two weeks.

This sit-down interview with Corey Graves and the accompanying video highlights probably helped Reigns more than his match earlier in the night. It’s a funky story, since Reigns is out there saying he’s the only one who whooped Brock Lesnar’s ass like Samoa Joe didn’t turn the dude purple, or Braun Strowman didn’t plant him into the canvas, or Goldberg didn’t straight up beat him in 90 seconds.

But overall, it’s a good thing. Reigns comes across as determined, and not like the entited jerk he looked like back in the spring.

Monkey Wrench (Like You Didn’t See That Coming)

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns get stopped on their way to the ring, because Kurt Angle and Constable Corbin have some news for the pair. Stephanie McMahon called up, and wants to “protect” the SummerSlam main event. So Roman is banned from competing in a second match, and if he ignores the ruling he forfeits his Universal Championship match. That makes less than zero sense, but okay.

Rollins tells him not to worry, and he decides to go it alone. Corbin gloats, and gets punched in the ribs by the Big Dog for his troubles.
