WWE SmackDown Predictions: AJ Styles Fails to Get Revenge
By Bryan Heaton
The Bar Return to the Top
A victory last week over The Usos have put Sheamus and Cesaro back in the championship equation. The Bar lost the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania to Braun Strowman and a kid, and since then it’s been a hot second since we’ve seen them do anything of note.
But after a brief respite to watch the World Cup, Cesaro and Sheamus are back. They were one of four teams to battle for a chance to face the Bludgeon Brothers at SummerSlam for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. (Sorry, Gallows and Anderson, maybe next time.)
There’s no reason for such a big deal to be made about The Bar returning if they’re not going to be in the championship match in the end. The New Day have had their shot at Harper and Rowan, and come up short. Why should we rehash that yet again if there’s another team on the roster who’s worthy of a title match?
The Bar also have New Day’s number, if you think about it. Remember when New Day had a record-setting run as Tag Team Champions? Who was it that ended that reign? It was Cesaro and Sheamus, in the early stages of their pairing, winning their first championships as a duo.
Plus, I really need to see this hoss fight between The Bar and the Bludgeon Brothers.
