3. R-Truth

This might seem like an odd choice, considering WWE treats R-Truth mostly like a joke (supposedly, because Vince McMahon finds him hilarious). Last Tuesday on SmackDown Live, however, R-Truth proved that at the relatively old age of 46, he still has wrestling ability, not to mention some sick hip-hop moves. With so much natural charisma, R-Truth and Shinsuke Nakamura could actually pull off a decent midcard feud.

The best part of this feud easily comes in the dichotomy of the characters. Nakamura, while remaining eccentric, has become a massive heel in the past few months, and it’s suited him quite well. R-Truth’s main character trait seems to be obliviousness, and since his teamwork with Tye Dillinger started, he could be getting at least a small push? For now, they’re being used as comedy jobbers, but that’s what the B-Team were, and look where it got them.

Overall, this would probably be a ten to twelve-minute match, with Nakamura almost certainly picking up the win. R-Truth, while still capable of wrestling, does not need a run with a title. Upgrading him and Dillinger to a legitimate duo through a good match, however, could pay dividends for the entirety of SmackDown Live.
