6. Undertaker vs Edge

The feud between The Undertaker and Edge all started when The Ultimate Opportunist cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on a defenseless Deadman–literally a defenseless dead man since Taker was laying unconscious in a pool of his own blood–and won his World Heavyweight Championship during the summer of 2007.

The ordeal put Big Evil on the big shelf until late 2007, and when he returned, he spent much of 2008 battling with Edge to reclaim his World Heavyweight Championship. He did just that in the main event of WrestleMania XXIV, but the Rated R Superstar still had some tricks up his sleeve.

He used his romance with Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero to convince her to strip Taker of the title. When it came time for their TLC match for the title at One Night Stand, she added the stipulation that if Taker lost, he’d be banished from WWE. Thanks to interference from Edge’s La Familia, Edge won and Taker was gone.

However, after she discovered that her beau cheated on her shortly before their wedding, Vickie was enraged enough to not only reinstate the Undertaker into WWE, but she booked Taker to take on Edge at SummerSlam in Hell in a Cell. These two had to literally go through Hell to finally settle their score.
