At WWE SummerSlam 2018, Seth Rollins gets another shot at the Intercontinental Championship held by Dolph Ziggler. With Dean Ambrose in Rollins’s corner to counter Drew McIntyre, the Kingslayer should emerge victorious.

Over the course of the past few months in WWE, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler have been embroiled in a feud over the Intercontinental Championship ever since Ziggler beat Rollins for the title last June. The Monday Night Raw brand has been dominated and highlighted by collisions between The Architect and The Showoff, leading into WWE SummerSlam 2018.

Since then, both men have shared the ring on numerous occasions, including–and most notably–in the main event of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in an Iron Man match, where Ziggler retained. He retained thanks in part to his right hand big man, Drew McIntyre. It seems like in every one of their encounters, Rollins has found himself desperately close to getting his hands back on his IC Title, but every step of the way, The Celtic Colossus has been in his way.

For the majority of this feud, in Rollins’s attempts to win back his IC Title, Drew McIntyre had proven to be a big thorn in The Kingslayer’s side. Ziggler continues to get big help in each one of his title defenses, while Rollins has no one in his corner. He gets to challenge Ziggler one last time for his title at Summerslam this Sunday, but up until recently at least, Rollins needed to worry about McIntyre interfering.

Now, heading into SummerSlam this Sunday, Seth Rollins finally has found himself an equalizer to neutralize McIntyre on the outside. The equalizer is none other than a returning Dean Ambrose. Now with the odds even, Rollins is hoping to reclaim his Intercontinental Championship on Sunday, and frankly, so are we. Here’s why.
