6. Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, Steel Cage Match (Greatest Royal Rumble)

If you’ve read any of the other pieces on the site lately pertaining to either Lesnar, or the Universal Championship, you aren’t surprised by the placement of this match. It was, quite frankly, a stinker.

All things considered, it shouldn’t be surprising that this was a dud. Aside from the blatantly obvious problems regarding who was allowed to participate at the Greatest Royal Rumble, one of the biggest knocks on the show was that was little more than a house show. With all the hoopla and fanfare surrounding the event, it was a steaming pile.

But surely a match for the Universal Championship was good, you might say. And a cage match, no less? Doesn’t matter: We’ve spent the last four months dealing with the fallout from the awful finish, and Reigns arguing that he’s the “uncrowned” Universal Champion. How has that gone over with the WWE Universe?

It was a match that shouldn’t have happened so soon after WrestleMania 34. The match was on a show that shouldn’t have even taken place. And the finish was completely counter to anything logical that could have been done. What more really needs to be said about this train wreck that hasn’t already been said?
