Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens; If Owens Wins, He Wins the Money in the Bank Contract

Bryan Heaton: Meh. That’s about all I have for this one. The finish is being telegraphed from a mile away — Owens is going to goad Strowman into a DQ or count out finish, so KO wins the briefcase. And after Reigns ekes out a victory in the main event, Lesnar will snap to “get suspended” (read: go fight in UFC) and take out Roman, who will be primed for a KO cash-in.

Interestingly enough, that would make Owens the first former Universal Champion to get another match for the title.

Christopher Jeter: The fact that Owens can win the briefcase via disqualification or countout (which WWE was set up with several Strowman countout losses over the last month) has my guard up for a cheap Owens win. However, WWE hasn’t positioned him as a credible world title contender in a while, so I’ll pick Strowman to win clean and end this ridiculous feud.

Trace Johnson: This feud has gone on probably too long, so there’s no other way to end it than with Strowman getting the win and keeping his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Ashley Leckwold: Honestly? Braun never needed the briefcase in the first place. And if the moral arc of the universe really does bend towards justice, Kevin Owens would will the briefcase, cash in for his Universal Title rematch and hold onto it long enough for Finn Balor to claim it from him. This is what I want, but I know the honest truth is that Braun will retain his briefcase, cash in and become the unbeatable champ because that’ll be somehow more satisfying than Brock just because he’s there every week and can flip over a truck with his bare hand.
