Introduce Big Legends

Again, a big issue with the 205 Live roster as of now is that it lacks star power. It lacks a popular familiar face that is able to consistently bring audiences in, and keep them coming back. 205 tried to produce such a legend onto their roster by pushing Brian Kendrick, but the allure of his WWE return wore off fast.

They wanted the same out of Tajiri as well, but an unexpected injury and a subsequent release took Tajiri out of the picture before he really had any steam going behind him.

For 205 Live to get some more attention from hardcore fans and casuals alike, they need to bring in some legendary cruiserweights that everybody loves seeing. Someone to both bring in viewers, and put over the young guys whilst helping them grow. A good example would be Rey Mysterio.

The announcement of Mysterio heading into WWE 2k19 as DLC Content is a sign that WWE hopes to sign the former World Champion to a full or part time return in the near future. If that’s true, he certainly could do a lot to bring new eyes onto an ailing product like 205 Live. Rather than feel like a step down for Mysterio, it’ll be a step up for the brand.
