Kevin Owens

This Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens storyline can only end one way. At some point, Owens has to stop looking like a total fool and actually take down Strowman. Additionally, Owens is one of the many wrestlers who, along with being very good in the first place, becomes even better when he is given a prop to work with. What better way to accomplish both those goals, than having Owens cap his storyline off with a Universal Championship win over Braun?

Despite being universally loved by fans, WWE portrays Owens as a heel. This gives Braun a great foil to work off of, and after all they’ve been through for the past couple of months, the two have a bit of a history together.

Strowman has thrown Owens off a steel cage through a table, blew through him in less than two minutes at SummerSlam, and Owens just won’t go away. Although Braun has become WWE’s ultimate babyface, the fire and resolve that Owens has shown has made him undoubtedly sympathetic with the crowd. Picture this.

Following a full-on redemption storyline, Owens wins a number-one contender’s match for a Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35. At the Granddaddy of Them All, Owens finds the strength to overcome Strowman, take the championship off of him, and finally, finally become the first two-time Universal Champion.
