Just 24 hours after an amazing SummerSlam pay per view, WWE Raw takes over the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Follow along with our live review!
Previously on WWE Raw, Roman Reigns got pepper sprayed. Ronda Rousey beat up three dudes and made a fourth run away. Seth Rollins found a friend. And hey, at SummerSlam, all three of them became champions! Look at how that worked out.
This week, Raw has the unenviable task of following up arguably the best pay per view of 2018. SummerSlam was a stellar show, with many more positives than negatives, and the fallout from the Biggest Party of the Summer is going to dominate WWE Raw.
As mentioned above, there’s three new champions on the flagship show of the WWE. Roman Reigns finally vanquished The Beast that is Brock Lesnar, and Reigns is the new Universal Champion. It’s been a long time coming for The Big Dog, but how will the Raw crowd react to his reign? And don’t forget that Lesnar is being advertised for tonight’s show….
Ronda Rousey completed one of the swiftest rises to the top of the heap at SummerSlam, defeating Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship. Not bad for your fourth televised match. Will The Goddess try for a rematch? If not, who will step up to the plate to challenge The Baddest Woman on the Planet?
And Dean Ambrose turned out to be the great equalizer at SummerSlam, fending off Drew McIntyre long enough for Seth Rollins to regain the Intercontinental Championship from Dolph Ziggler. All former members of The Shield are riding high heading into WWE Raw, but what’s next for the Intercontinental Champion? Will we see a return of the open challenge?
There’s so much more going on, too. Finn Bálor shocked the world when he called upon The Demon against Constable Corbin at SummerSlam. The B-Team fended off The Revival to retain the Raw Tag Team Championships. Elias had an unfortunate equipment failure during his performance. And I’m sure Bobby Lashley had nothing to do with that….
Be sure to tune in to WWE Raw when the action kicks off at 8 p.m. ET, and follow along here with our live review.
