Hot on the heels of the announcement that Alexa Bliss will face legendary Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus, at the upcoming WWE Evolution pay-per-view, it seems like an opportune time to explore who another bonafide legend could end up facing. Lita, another Hall of Fame inductee and the best friend of Stratus, looks set to be asked to step out of retirement for a guest appearance at the first all-women’s pay-per-view in October.

With the option of an exhibition match against her old foe, Stratus, now off the table, it would appear that the creative team may see fit to book Lita against one of the current superstars making waves on the main roster.

During the early 2000’s, Stratus and Lita completely changed the face of women’s wrestling in the WWE. Lita, in particular, was seen as being well ahead of her time with an arsenal of high-flying moves and a look and attitude that was the antithesis of the typical “diva” gimmick that the company preferred in it’s female superstars at the time.

The possibility of so many iconic performers from the recent past being brought in to help stack the card at WWE Evolution, it creates a booking conundrum in trying to find the right fit for these returning legends. Thankfully, the main roster is blessed with the deepest talent pool of female superstars in WWE history and icon’s such as Lita won’t be short of potential opponents.
